Curatorship Estates Cape Town

It happens from time to time that a family member or a loved one becomes incapacitated in such a way that they are not able to make decisions regarding their finances, physical care (living conditions, health, decisions about medical procedures)  or both. In situations like these it may be wise to have the court appoint a curator to manage the affairs of the patient. The law makes provision for two types of curatorship, namely the Curator Bonis (a curator that looks after the financial needs of the patient) and a Curator Ad Personam (who looks after physical care).
